At Mono, our business model and our reputation depend on making sure that end users feel safe when linking their financial account with companies using Mono. In several conversations with some end users, we've found that they want an easier way to unlink their connected financial accounts and stay in control of their data.
Introducing Unlink
Unlink offers the option for your end users to easily unlink their financial account(s) from Mono's Infrastructure.
How does it work?
For Users - Users can simply click the Unlink button in the app or website where they initially linked their financial account with Mono.
For Companies - To unlink a user’s account, provide the Account ID and your Mono App's secret key to the header(mono-sec-key), with a POST request to this endpoint: https://api.withmono.com/accounts/:id/unlink
Once an OK response is received, all data and authorisation associated with the provided Account ID are permanently deleted. This makes sure your end users feel safe when linking their financial account with Mono.
Check out our documentation to learn more about the unlink endpoint.
This endpoint is available for all existing Mono partners.
