Kuda PayID is now live on Mono DirectPay

Convenience is a necessary element for modern payments, and giving your customers more ways to securely and conveniently pay you is great for your business. This is why we're excited to share that we have now added one more Kuda payment authentication method, Kuda PayID, to the Mono DirectPay widget for Pay with Bank.

This means that your customers who are Kuda Bank account holders can also make payments to your business using the Kuda PayID option on the Mono DirectPay widget.

If you're wondering what Mono DirectPay or Mono Pay with Bank is, here's a quick refresher.

What is Mono DirectPay?

Mono DirectPay is an Open Banking-powered direct bank payment method that allows your customers to pay securely and instantly without the use of debit cards. You can find the Mono DirectPay/Pay with bank option on the Flutterwave payment checkout and also other digital financial service apps such as Grey, Eversend, and more.

How does the Kuda PayID payment authorization method work?

To complete payments using their Kuda account and with the Kuda PayID option, your customers can take the following steps:

  1. Select Kuda Bank and Pay with the Kuda PayID method on the DirectPay widget.

  2. Enter the phone number linked to their Kuda bank account. They will be prompted to enter a 6-digit pay ID. They can generate the PayID in their Kuda bank app following the steps in the image below:

  3. Enter the 6-digit PayID to complete the payment.
