We're excited to share that we have been accepted into the inaugural cohort of the Mastercard Start Path Open Banking Program.
The Start Path Open Banking program is a three-month program that accepts and empowers fintech startups on their scaling journey to deliver innovative solutions in open banking. We are honoured to have been selected for this reputable program by the Mastercard Start Path team. Since its founding, 14 years ago, Start Path has created more than 10,000 startup connections around the world and engaged over 300 startups globally.
What this means for us and our partners
As a growing fintech startup providing businesses in Africa with the tools and solutions to securely access user-permissioned financial data and collect direct bank payments, for the purpose of understanding their finances and offering them more innovative money solutions, we also require all the tools, expertise, and access to scale the solutions we build to continuously contribute meaningfully to the growth of Africa's digital economy.
The program will also give us the opportunity to leverage Mastercard’s open banking expertise and market insights, and learn more about Mastercard’s market-leading open banking platforms. This will also allow us to connect with Mastercard’s ecosystem financial institutions, partners, and digital players across the globe, to deliver and scale open banking solutions designed to meet consumers’ financial needs with security at the centre.
The tools, expertise, far-reaching access, and learnings that we'll receive through the Start Path program will help us accelerate our innovation in each market that we serve today, and other new markets we plan to expand into.
