In our last newsletter, we shared some dashboard updates; date filtering for connection analytics and the DirectPay settlement status feature, and a recap of the Mono developer workshop.
For May, we have a new connection on the Mono widget, billing changes on the dashboard, connected account limit updates, and more. Keep reading for the highlights.
Company & Product Updates
New connection in Nigeria
We have added Chipper Cash as a connection on the Mono Connect widget. This lets your users in Nigeria securely link their Chipper Cash accounts to your business, so you can access their financial data with their permission.
With this connection, you can reliably retrieve their account, identity, balance, transaction, statements, and investment data, and build innovative financial services. Try a demo here.
Improvements to invoice billing
For partners who use the invoice billing method for Mono Connect on the dashboard, we have made an update to improve the subscription renewal experience for you and your team.
Going forward, you will receive email reminders to renew your Mono Connect subscription at 9:00 am instead of 1:00 am. This will be sent at the end of your billing cycle and allow you to share your invoice with your team and renew your subscription in good time to avoid interrupted use of Mono services.
To ensure you don’t miss out on these reminders, add or update your billing contact on the dashboard if you haven’t already. Log in to update your billing contact.
Billing updates for Enterprise partners
We’ve implemented a way for Enterprise partners using Mono Connect to renew their subscription plan on the Mono dashboard. This allows you easily generate your invoice and make payments, at the end of every billing cycle.
In addition, Value-added tax (VAT) and Withholding tax (WHT) charges are now included on your invoice, to ensure that you transfer the correct amount to the generated bank account when paying for your subscription.
To renew your subscription, navigate to the Plan & Billings tab and click the Renew button under the Enterprise plan. On the subscription modal that appears, click the Make payment button to generate an account number you can use to pay for your subscription. Here's how this works.
Deprecated Auto data sync feature
We have decided to discontinue the Auto data sync feature on Mono. This means that you will be unable to access this feature to automatically retrieve up-to-date transactions on connected accounts.
Alternatively, you can continue using the Manual data sync feature, which is just as powerful as Auto data sync but has to be triggered manually on the Mono dashboard to perform a data refresh on connected accounts. You can also ask your users to reconnect their financial accounts if you need to retrieve their updated transactions. Read more about Mono data sync.
Connected Account limit
To help you monitor your Connected Account usage, we’ll now notify you on the dashboard when you have fully exhausted the number of accounts you can connect to, on your pricing plan.
This notification will only apply to Partners on a Mono Connect plan with a set connected account limit.
