Company & Product Updates
The widget customization feature is live
We’ve added the widget customization feature to the new Mono widget. This feature lets you easily personalize the widget experience for your users, with your brand colour and logo, and customize success messages and Call to Action (CTA) buttons to suit your brand voice and tone.
To access this feature, navigate to the Products page on your Mono dashboard and add it to your current pricing plan for a one-time fee. You can activate the widget customization feature here.
Mastercard has partnered with Mono
We recently announced that Mastercard has partnered with us to enable the Mono DirectPay Pay with Bank option on the Mastercard Payment Gateway System (MPGS). This allows the thousands of businesses and developers within Mastercard’s network to securely and instantly collect payments from their customers.
This partnership also allows Mastercard to introduce its first account-to-account payment method on the Mastercard Gateway in the (EEMEA) region and deepen financial inclusion among customers. Here's what this partnership means for us.
How Carbon is powering digital lending for Africans with Mono
Carbon is a digital bank that provides consumers in Africa access to retail loans, buy now pay later credit, and business loans.
In this partner story video, the team shared how they got on board as one of our earliest partners. Carbon has since then used Mono to securely access customers’ financial data and profile them more accurately across their Personal and SME Loan products to Carbon Zero.

Improving your loan-decisioning process with Mono Credit History Lookup
As a lending business, ensuring that you are lending to the right kind of borrower is critical. This is why we recently introduced the Mono Credit History Lookup API to help Nigerian businesses easily access customers’ verified credit information of up to 5 years and speed up their underwriting process.
We shared how this lookup endpoint works and how you can leverage it to make faster and low-risk lending decisions for your business. Watch the video here.
Updates to the Mono NIN Lookup API
We have included a new update to the Mono NIN Lookup API, which allows you to retrieve users’ NIN details with their date of birth. This update requires you to use the date_of_birth parameter in the YYYY-MM-DD format when calling the NIN lookup endpoints. Check out this endpoint.
Building a robust credit-decisioning system with Mono
In a recent developer workshop, our team showed attendees how to supercharge their credit-decisioning system with secure access to users’ financial and credit information via the Mono Lookup APIs. If you couldn’t attend the session, we have put together a full video replay for you on our YouTube.
