Company & Product Updates
The Mono widget 2.0 is live
We recently launched the Mono widget v2 with some exciting new features, so your users can get a faster and more seamless experience when they share their financial data or make payments via Mono.
The features we’ve added on the new widget include; smoother account switching, a clearer user consent process, one-click institution search, and more. You can read our launch article to see how these features work.
To switch to the new widget experience for your users, simply navigate to the Settings page on your dashboard, click the Preferences option under the Business section, and then toggle on the button to enable the new widget. Upgrade to the widget 2.0.
New DirectPay connections on the widget
We have added Alat by Wema, Pocket by Piggyvest, and Paga as three new connections on the DirectPay widget. These new payment methods are enabled for one-time payments and allow users to make instant payments to your business using their account number (Alat by Wema) or account tag (Pocket by Piggyvest).
Also, for users who have Paga accounts, you can now initiate a payment request to let them authorize the payment within their app, using their name and phone number. Try a demo here.
Mono CAC Lookup v3 is live
The Mono CAC Lookup has been upgraded to allow Nigerian businesses to verify and retrieve more comprehensive information on registered businesses directly from the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), using their business name or RC number.
With this upgrade, you can now access corporate identity details for a business such as the company’s historical change of name, previous addresses, company secretary, and directors. You can read more about how this Lookup endpoint works, here.
Building seamless KYC/KYB experiences with Mono Lookup
We wrote a technical guide on how the Mono Lookup endpoints work, the best practices to consider for your Mono integration, and how to implement it for your KYB and business verification process.
During one of our Mono developer workshops, we also shared how businesses can use the Mono Lookup APIs to build robust user verification and onboarding flows within their product. To show you these APIs in action, we’ve put together a replay of the full session on our YouTube. Watch it here.
Africa Tech Summit 2024
Our team attended this year’s Africa Tech Summit in Nairobi, Kenya. We took the opportunity to meet and connect with business leaders and entrepreneurs in the tech ecosystem and got important insights into what other businesses were building and how we could empower them with reliable Open Banking APIs to innovate more for their users.
If you missed us at the event and would like to pick up the conversation virtually, you can reach out to us via email at sales@mono.co and someone on our Sales team would be happy to answer all your questions.
